Created by Chichibu Distillery located at Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture, about 100km outside of Tokyo. Despite the distillery's short history (operation started in 2008), it has been gaining recognition not just in Japan but around the world.

Ichiro's Malt Double Distilleries was winner of 2009 World Whiskies Awards' "Best Non Scotch Blended Malt Whisky No Age Statement" category. It is a blend of malts from Hanyu Distillery (Panchon and Sherry casks) and Chichibu Distillery (Japanese oak cask).

Other main brands include "Wine Wood Reserve" and "Mizunara (Japanese oak) Wood Reserve (WWA 2008 Best Non Scotch Blended Malt Whisky 12 Years and Under), and Ichiro's Malt 23 Years Old (WWA 2008 (Best Japanese Single Malt Whisky 21 Years and Over).
