Scapa 16 year single malt comes from the Scottish Isle of Orkney. As the name implies it is aged for 16 years before bottling. The bottle is in the mid to low range for single malt scotch.
It is a smooth drinking scotch that's also very sweet. The color is a rich gold, and the initial scent is of cherry and oak. There is nearly no peat detectable, which makes is a good scotch for someone starting out. There are hints of citrus, and overall this is a well balanced scotch.
